Celebrating Easter

This was our first Easter with MP at home. That brought a unique specialness to this celebration. The children enjoyed an Easter egg hunt, flying kites, going through the Resurrection eggs, visiting the stations of the cross at church and Easter baskets!

A Trip to the Zoo!

We enjoyed a trip to our local zoo! The weather was abolutely perfect. The kids enjoyed riding the carosel and the train.

Wordless Wednesday

Profound Reading

In preparation for beginning a new Bible Study, Stepping Up, by Beth Moore, I have been reading the Songs of Ascents, in the Psalms. Psalm 131 seems particularly profound to me right now.

O LORD, my heart is not proud, nor my eyes haughty;
Nor do I involve myself in great matters,
Or in things too difficult for me.
Surely I have composed and quieted my soul;
Like a weaned child rests against his mother,
My soul is like a weaned child within me.
O Isreal, hope in the LORD
From this time forth and forever. (NASB)

A Gift From God

The weather on this past Sunday was such a gift from God. It was a foretaste of the coming spring. That afternoon, Ira took the kids to fly a kite. I came to record the event. Not only did the kids learn to fly a kite, but they also picked flowers, found feathers and discovered a nest of duck eggs! It was truly a spectactular afternoon!
