New New Year's Resolutions

Okay. I've changed my mind. My initial list of resolutions just does NOT excite me about the new year. I DO want my resolutions to be important things, the pursuit of which will result in positive change in my life, but it really just seemed a little stale.

My New New Year's Resolutions:
1. Continue to grow in confidence, peace and focus about God's plan for my life.
2. Keep our bedroom uncluttered, orderly and peaceful. (Our room tends to be one of the final dumping grounds in our home.)
3. Continue to scrapbook and cross-stitch.
4. Continue to journal.
5. Continue to prioritize the Special Things for the kids.

That list seems fresh and somehow LESS stressful. I hope you and your families are enjoying a lovely New Year so far! Take care!

Daily Goals & New Year's Resolutions

I simply CAN NOT resist doing New Year's Resolutions and having Daily Goals. I dearly, dearly love being mentally organized and making lists. I could do a scrapbook page on the joy of making lists ~ seriously. And I can get too serious about it at times, because I really, really like my lists to contain a total of 3 or 5 or 7 items. So New Year's Resolutions are right up my alley ~ and so I share them with you (I know this will be so simply thrilling to the four people who visit this blog!)

MY DAILY GOALS
Quiet Time
Exercise
Clean the kitchen
Journal
Special Things for the kids (MOMents, Pray over, bedtime story)

NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS
Rest in God's daily provision and not maintain a storehouse of worry
Make it through my Chronological Daily Bible
Cut out caffiene and cut back on aspartame intake
To diligently and lovingly lead my children forward educationally
Lose 20 pounds (and never more have a goal based on weight loss on this list)

Scrabble Extravaganza!

I think the love of the game, Scrabble, runs through both of my husband's and my family. (Except it DID skip me - I am just not a game player!) My husband and Tiger Lilly LOVE playing. My mom, Aunt Sandra and cousin Bill are always up for match. Mawmaw, ReRe and the girls also love the challenge. The have their Scrabble dictionaries or word builders. They know all the acceptable 2 and 3 letter combinations. For me, all that enthusiasm really just means one thing ~ a scrapbook layout is in order!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

We celebrated my daddy's 70th birthday yesterday! Happy, happy birthday, Daddy!
